TELEMEDICINE VISITS

TELEMEDICINE VISIT

Telemedicine refers to the exchange of medical information from one site to another through electronic communication to improve a patient’s health. With the emergence of the COVID-19 virus, there has been an urgency to expand the use of technology to help people access the medical care that they need, while preventing increased opportunity for spread of the virus.  It is imperative that during this public health emergency patients avoid travel, when possible even to physician offices.

To avoid travel and still enable our patients to have contact with their Coastal Virginia Spine and Pain Practitioner, we are now offering Telemedicine encounters for Physiatric and Physical Therapy visits. Telemedicine involves the use of electronic communications, such as a computer or phone. Visits most appropriate for telemedicine could include; visits to review all diagnostics, medication checks and follow up treatment visits.

We are also aware that connecting to this new technology can be challenging for some. Below we have provided links to the two methods that we are currently utilizing for Telemedicine. The links should help you be able to establish a connection with us. If you have further question, please call our office or contact us.
